Knitting

Nordic Lights Socks (Fair Isle)

My very first attempt at Fair Isle (stranded) knitting! I found a great pattern with ‘easy’ directions and great charts. I chose a dark green yarn for the base color and a green/yellow multi-color for the second color. It definitely is a heavier/thicker sock than using just a single fingering weight yarn and it took a bit of finagling to get used to knitting  continental style with one hand and English with the other. Given to Grandma Lill for her 90th birthday!!

Special thanks to my hubby for helping to Photoshop these pictures together . . .
