Paradise Point | St. Maarten

When our cruise ship docked at St. Maarten, we took the aerial tram up to Paradise Point and caught this view. What a glorious winter day it was with green hills protruding from the blue waters, then topped by white wispy clouds in a baby blue sky.  I can still feel the tropical humid air . . .

On a personal note, while on the cruise my husband and I were always under the weather. After returning home, I was diagnosed with pneumonia and bronchitis (hubby as well), but the symptoms weren’t as pronounced while in the Caribbean. I suppose this means if you are going to be sick, best to be sick in paradise!

Princess Cays Ocean View

Princess Cruise Lines has their own private island called ‘Princess Cays’, and the last day of our cruise was spent frolicking and having a HUGE cook-out on this beautiful white-sand beach island.  The waters closest to the shore were a bright teal/turquoise, then turned into a glassy blue farther out to sea.  I caught this view as I was walking by and thought the palm fronds would make a nice frame for the changing colors of the ocean.
