Though I cannot take credit for this photo, this was taken during the most important day of my life – our wedding day.  My hubby Jake designed the white orchid flower path that led to a circle of flowers in between the palm trees. Our wedding vows were exchanged there exactly 2 years ago today with a small and intimate wedding party.  It truly was an amazing day and I cannot imagine a wedding that was more “us” than the way ours turned out.  Mahalo Nui Loa to Mom & Pop, Mom & Dad, Dante & Hermine, Jonah & Chastity, Alayna, Hannah and Mason for making our day so special.

Hau’oli la Ho’omana’o, Jake. Aloha No Au la ‘Oe.

Jake’s First Comic Cover | Adventure Comics #518

My husband, Jake, had an opportunity to work on a comic book cover this summer and it came out this month! He partnered with long-time friend, Scott Clark, who has been in the comic book industry for years. How exciting!  Jake has posted this on his blog and his recently launched website can be found at www.jakerowell.com.

Congrats Jake!!

Despicable Me movie

Well, it’s not newly knitted socks or photos of beautiful locales, but this is a project I am extremely proud to have worked on.  Congratulations to my colleagues and friends at Illumination Entertainment, Universal Pictures and the graciously talented crew at MacGuff Ligne in Paris, France for a great job on Despicable Me. The movie looks amazing and I cannot express how proud, humbled and grateful I am to have been a part of the team.

Despicable Me opens this Friday, July 9th.
